Check in time: 3:00 pm (central time) – or earlier if not rented day before – just ask….

Checkout time:  12 noon (central time)– or later if not rented for that day – again, just ask….

This is a non-smoking house.  Please confine all smoking to the great outdoors.

No pets allowed due to allergies..

 LAKE GERALD ONE.....

Upon arrival - find key in lockbox at front corner of house.  Key fits front door and outside bedroom door (please utilize the lock box as to not lock yourself out). Turn on hot water at box in laundry area. Be sure grill is cool before using cover.   Remote for AC is mounted on cabinet behind LR/DR door.  It is currently set for AC. Hit Button until you hear double beep, then up/down to temperature, do this for each AC, one in LR and one over laundry. (please utilize mount for remote) AC in bedrooms, utilize remote for full bedroom.

Upon leaving - 

--Turn hot water off at power box, Turn off all lights/tvs and any other power you turned on (turn two Main Ac units off by pushing button for one beep) turn off AC in both bedrooms.      -close, lock windows and close blinds for all windows/doors                                           --remove all trash/foods and refrigerated items (cover outdoor bin securely)

(you may leave unopened drinks only)

--load and run dishwasher

--place all used linens in laundry area

 --place outdoor chair cushions under pool table...

--double check for all personal items (not responsible for left items)

(Call immediately if you do discover you left, we'll try to get it to you)

 --Replace door keys in key lock box

Failure to follow instructions may result in partial or full loss of deposit...

 LAKE GERALD TWO....

 Upon arrival – go to twin bedroom power box and turn on hot water.

Small key fits shed and canoe.  Oars and jackets can be found in shed.

(Canoe provided at no charge.  Passengers must use life vests)

Do not place outdoor grill on deck.

Do not park blocking boat ramp.

Upon leaving – see the following:

---Turn hot water off at power box (DO NOT TURN OFF PUMP)

---Turn all lights/tv and any other power you turned on – OFF

---close, lock and close blinds for all windows/doors

---remove all trash/foods and refrigerated items (cover outdoor bin securely)

    (You may leave unopened drinks only)

---load and run dishwasher

---place all used linens in a pile in the sunroom

---place any wet lifejackets in outside shed

---place outdoor chair cushions in sunroom

---cut heat (winter) to 50 or cool (summer) off

---double check for all personal items (not responsible for left items)

    (Call immediately if you do discover you left, we’ll try to get it to you)

---Replace door keys in key lock box

Failure to follow instructions may result in partial or full loss of deposit

Directions to Oxford - shopping/eating

back to Hyw 9, go right, make 4th left onto Bethel Church Road (CR 11) to Stop - turn left onto CR 24 - (changes to Jennifer Lane) to Stop - turn left onto Friendship Road (go past signal light) to Leon Smith Parkway (red light stop) - turn right onto Leon Smith to shopping.  Continue over I-20 and turn left onto 431/78 (you'll need to turn right and go down hill to get to 431/78 and then turn left - watch for signs) for additional shopping and Mall.  Turn left at Mall for 24/7 super Walmart.  (This is a back way - but should you desire major highways, continue Hwy 9 to Hollis Crossroads - turn left at 431 to I-20, go I-20 Westbound to Oxford exits)

 Directions to Cheaha Mountain -

back to Hwy 9, go right, make 3rd left onto Good Hope Delta Road to Stop (shinbone valley) - turn right onto Hwy 49 to Stop -turn left onto Hwy 281 - follow scenic drive up Mountain - store, restaurant, handicap accessible boardwalk to Rock edge (follow signs to Lodge), Tower to climb, hiking paths, picnic areas, lake activities open during summer (go past park entrance and follow signs to lake). Easy 20 minute ride from lakehouse to park.

 MUST SEE IF YOU GO TO CHEAHA PARK - WATERFALLS !!

Continue past park entrance on 281 to first right (Cheaha Road) (this is also where the park lake is) - continue to 3rd left (using term lightly - mostly trail-type roads) turn left on Lake Chinabee Road (this one actually looks like a road and is marked) - follow to end and bear left to park.  Follow river upstream about 1/2 mile or so - absolutely beautiful waterfalls - in Talladega National Forest,  bring change of clothes and get wet - or continue up path to additional falls.  Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy park.  Don't forget your camera. 

Directions to Lineville -

back to Hwy 9, go left - follow about 7 miles into city.  There's a PigglyWiggly, BBQ rest. on your right, a Mexican Rest. on your left, and a Jack's just through town.  Also, check out the Lineville Antique store downtown on your right. 

Directions to Talladega National Speedway and Museum

Follow the directions to Oxford for backway - you can catch I-20 west bound to Exit 173 --- or take Hwy 9 to the right to Hollis Crossroads, turn left (north) onto Hwy 431 to I-20 west bound to Exit 173. 

Fun Day Trip - (Desoto Caverns Park) -

www.DesotoCavernsPark.com - easy way - follow directions to Oxford shopping, at Leon Smith Parkway, continue to go straight (instead of right turn) and it ends on Hwy 21 (at I-20), turn left on Hwy 21 and follow through Talladega (city) to Winterboro and turn right onto Hwy 76 for about 5 miles.  There will be signs from Hwy 21 for the park.
